Yungblud cancels US tour dates on doctor's orders

British rock artist Yungblud has canceled his upcoming US tour dates, citing medical advice over concerns about his vocal health and blood test results, he announced in a social media statement on Sunday.

Reason for cancellation

The 28-year-old Doncaster native, whose real name is Dominic Harrison, revealed he was advised to halt performances to avoid long-term damage. "It's in my nature to run and run until I run myself to the ground... but this time I've been told I have to take it seriously," he wrote.

Harrison, known for high-energy performances, expressed regret over the cancellations in cities including Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Washington. "My heart is broken," he admitted, apologizing to fans for the disruption.

Apology to fans

Addressing potential frustration among ticket holders, he emphasized the decision was necessary for his long-term career. "I don't want to do any lasting damage to myself. We are on a journey that I want to last forever," he stated, promising to make up for the missed shows.

"I never take anyone's love, support, or energy for granted. You know you are everything to me. But I need this time."

Recent career milestones

Harrison has been touring in support of his June 2025 album Idols, which earned him two Grammy nominations: Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song for the single Zombie. He also received recognition for his performance at Black Sabbath's farewell concert, held shortly before Ozzy Osbourne's passing.

The artist, whose hits include I Think I'm Okay (featuring Machine Gun Kelly) and Fleabag, has topped UK charts three times with albums Weird! (2020), his self-titled 2022 release, and Idols. Earlier this year, he won the Disruptor of the Year award at the Nordoff and Robbins Northern Music Awards in Liverpool.

What's next

Yungblud is expected to resume touring in 2026 with the UK leg of his Idols World Tour, following the hiatus. His management has not yet announced rescheduled dates for the canceled US performances.
