Mansfield Town secures Tyler Roberts on new contract

League One side Mansfield Town has finalized a one-year deal with forward Tyler Roberts, the club announced on Tuesday.

Roberts' journey to Mansfield

The 27-year-old initially arrived at the club on loan from Championship outfit Birmingham City last September. After impressing during his temporary spell, he agreed to a permanent contract in February.

Roberts made 19 appearances for Mansfield, contributing four goals as the team finished 10th in League One.

Manager hails Roberts' impact

Mansfield boss Nigel Clough praised the forward's contributions, stating that his influence on the pitch was evident to all.

"It's brilliant that he wants to stay and be a part of next season. His influence when he was on the pitch was there for everybody to see."

Clough also noted that Roberts had been clear about signing only a one-year deal, regardless of the club.

Background
