Fatal collision in Murchison Falls National Park
Three Uganda Revenue Authority officials died on Sunday evening when their vehicle struck an elephant in northwestern Uganda, police confirmed.

The crash occurred inside Murchison Falls National Park as the group traveled from Arua toward Kampala. Four other passengers sustained injuries and were first treated at a local hospital before being transferred to the capital for further care.
Police reported the accident on X but did not disclose the elephant's condition.

Wildlife authority issues warning
The Uganda Wildlife Authority called on motorists to reduce speed and stay alert for animals crossing park roads.
"Motorists traveling through Protected Areas are strongly advised to drive cautiously, as wild animals frequently cross the roads,"
