Frank addresses job security amid Spurs slump
Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank has dismissed speculation about his future after the club's eighth consecutive Premier League match without a victory. The Danish coach spoke following Tuesday's 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United, which left Spurs just five points above the relegation zone.
Fan frustration boils over at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Boos echoed through the stadium as the final whistle confirmed Tottenham's 11th league loss of the season. Empty seats were visible before kickoff, reflecting growing discontent among supporters. When asked about his job security by TNT Sports, Frank stated he had received assurances from club ownership the previous day.
"I understand the frustration, and the easiest thing is to point at me. That's part of the job, unfortunately. I will work day and night to turn this around, but it's not just one person. We all need to improve."

Performance decline raises alarm
Spurs collected 10 points from their first five league games under Frank but have managed only 19 from the subsequent 21 matches. Their current eight-game winless streak is the longest since 2008, when Juande Ramos was sacked with the club at the bottom of the table.
Former Spurs legend Glenn Hoddle warned the team is now in a "relegation fight," urging players and fans to recognize the severity of the situation. Ex-striker Les Ferdinand added that many supporters have "lost faith" in Frank, describing the atmosphere as "desperate."
Club hierarchy faces critical decision
Tottenham's leadership must now decide whether to persist with Frank or make a change. While the board has stood by the manager through a challenging period, citing injuries and squad limitations, sources suggest contingency plans are being prepared.
The club has acknowledged disruptions caused by key player absences and the departures of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, which left a goal-scoring void. Efforts to strengthen leadership, including the signing of Conor Gallagher and an attempted move for Andy Robertson, have yet to yield results.
What's next for Spurs?
If Nottingham Forest defeat Wolves on Wednesday, they will draw level with Tottenham on points. Frank's side next face Arsenal in the north London derby on 22 February. Should the club opt to replace Frank, the 12-day gap between fixtures would allow time to appoint a successor and implement a new strategy.
The pressure on Frank has reached a tipping point, with observers questioning whether Tottenham's leadership will act decisively or continue to back their embattled manager.
