Scottish influencer vanishes in Agadir

A 31-year-old travel influencer from Alloa, Scotland, has been reported missing in Morocco after checking out of her hotel in Agadir on Saturday, her family said.

Last known movements

Rachel Kerr was staying at the Caribbean Village, a three-star all-inclusive hotel in the southern Atlantic coastal city. She checked out on 25 April, and her phone has been unreachable since then, according to relatives.

Kerr, who has over 9,000 followers on Instagram, had been documenting her trip to Morocco on the platform before contact was lost.

Family appeals for information

Her cousin, Claire Hill, posted a public appeal on Facebook on Tuesday, urging anyone with details about Kerr's whereabouts to come forward.

"Appealing to anyone who may have had contact with Rachel Kerr in the last few days, and any of her contacts in Morocco. Please get in touch if you have any information. Her family are extremely concerned for her welfare."

Hill noted that Kerr was last known to be at the Caribbean Village before checking out on Saturday.

UK government involvement

A spokesperson for the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) confirmed that officials are assisting the family of a British national reported missing in Morocco. No further details were provided.

Next steps

Local authorities in Agadir have not yet issued a public statement on the case. Kerr's family continues to seek information through social media and official channels.
