Roberto Carlos, Brazil's third-most capped player, has confirmed he underwent a planned preventative medical procedure and is recovering well. The 52-year-old former left-back addressed speculation about his health on social media, denying reports of a heart attack.

In an Instagram post, Carlos shared a photo of himself smiling in a hospital bed alongside a statement clarifying his condition. He described the procedure as pre-arranged with his medical team and confirmed it was successful.
"I recently underwent a preventative medical procedure, planned in advance with my medical team. The procedure was successful, and I am well. I did not suffer a heart attack."

He added that he is recovering well and expects to return to his professional and personal commitments soon.
