Recent videos circulating online appear to show cast members on set, with some clips garnering hundreds of thousands of views. According to Jenny Han, the trilogy's author and the film's director, crews have been forced to halt filming to clear crowds, disrupting their focus and workflow.

Since its 2022 debut, The Summer I Turned Pretty has captivated millions with its love triangle storyline featuring Isabel 'Belly' Conklin (Lola Tung) and brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah Fisher (Gavin Casalegno). The fictional town of Cousins Beach, where the series is set, is primarily filmed along the North Carolina coast. While plot details for the upcoming movie remain under wraps, the studio confirmed it will serve as the conclusive chapter of Belly's journey. The original main cast is set to return for the feature-length adaptation.
