Royal couple shares milestone photo with children and pet
The Prince and Princess of Wales have unveiled a new family portrait to commemorate 15 years of marriage, showing the couple relaxing in Cornwall with their three children and a family dog.
Image details and social media post
The photograph, taken by Matt Porteous during the Easter break, depicts Prince William and Princess Catherine lying on grass, smiling alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and their dog. The image was posted on social media with a heart emoji and the caption: "Celebrating 15 years of marriage."
Wedding and early married life
The couple exchanged vows at Westminster Abbey in London in 2011, in a globally televised ceremony that attracted an estimated audience of billions. Following their wedding, they resided in Anglesey, where Prince William completed helicopter training to serve as an RAF search and rescue pilot.
During a visit to the training station this week, Prince William reflected on his time there, stating, "I loved my time up here. It was great fun... I do miss it. I miss the job, I miss the camaraderie." He also advised current trainees, "Your time up here will go quickly, that's the thing. You'll look back with fond memories."
Family expansion over the years
The couple welcomed their first child, Prince George, in 2013. Princess Charlotte was born two years later, and Prince Louis arrived in 2018, completing their family of five.
