NFL Week 10 delivers upsets and record-breaking performances

The Buffalo Bills suffered a stunning 30-13 defeat to the Miami Dolphins in Week 10, ending their seven-game winning streak against their AFC East rivals and raising questions about their consistency. Meanwhile, the New England Patriots, Denver Broncos, and Indianapolis Colts-all at 8-2-emerged as the league's top contenders, while Jonathan Taylor's historic rushing display in Berlin stole headlines.

Bills' collapse opens door for Patriots in AFC East

The Bills, fresh off a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, looked flat from the start against Miami. Quarterback Josh Allen, an MVP frontrunner, struggled with two costly turnovers-an end-zone interception and a fourth-quarter fumble that Miami converted into a touchdown. The Dolphins' running back De'Von Achane dominated with 225 total yards and two scores, while Buffalo's usually potent rush attack was held to just 86 yards, their lowest of the season.

Miami's victory marked their first over Buffalo since 2021, but questions remain about their consistency. For the Bills, the loss complicates their path to the AFC East title, especially with the Patriots surging. New England's 8-2 record, bolstered by a gritty win over Tampa Bay, gives them a favorable schedule down the stretch-including just one remaining game against a team with a winning record.

Patriots, Broncos, and Colts vie for AFC supremacy

The Patriots, Broncos, and Colts are the NFL's only 8-2 teams, but their strength of schedule has drawn scrutiny. Combined, they've only five wins against teams with winning records, with Denver's victory over the Philadelphia Eagles standing out. New England's defense and rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson-who recorded two long touchdowns and hit 22 mph on a 55-yard score-have fueled their seven-game winning streak.

Denver's resilience in fourth quarters and Indianapolis's reliance on Jonathan Taylor (more below) highlight their contender status. However, the Patriots' softer remaining schedule-featuring just one game against a current winning team-could give them the edge for the AFC's top seed.

Seahawks and Rams set for NFC West showdown

The Seattle Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams, both 7-2, enter Week 11 on four-game winning streaks, setting up a blockbuster clash in LA. Quarterbacks Matthew Stafford (Rams) and Sam Darnold (Seahawks) have led high-scoring offenses, while both defenses rank among the league's stingiest, allowing under 20 points per game.

The Rams' two losses came in overtime-against the 49ers and a last-second blocked field goal in Philadelphia-while Seattle fell to San Francisco in Week 1 and on a final-play field goal to Tampa Bay. Their Sunday meeting could be the season's most compelling matchup yet.

Jonathan Taylor's record chase

Colts running back Jonathan Taylor delivered a historic performance in Berlin, rushing for 244 yards and three touchdowns while adding 42 receiving yards. His 83-yard touchdown-the longest of the season-showcased his blend of speed (22.38 mph, the fastest in 2025) and power (228 yards after contact, an eight-year high).

Taylor is now on pace for 1,936 rushing yards, within striking distance of Eric Dickerson's single-season record (2,105). His 15 rushing touchdowns and 17 total scores also put him in contention for LaDainian Tomlinson's records (28 rushing, 31 total). With four three-touchdown games already, MVP voters may soon turn their attention to the Colts' star.

Other Week 10 highlights

Ravens' revival: Baltimore's win over Minnesota and Pittsburgh's loss to the Chargers tightened the AFC North race, with a Week 18 showdown looming between the rivals.

Lions' offensive explosion: Detroit's Dan Campbell took over play-calling, resulting in 44 points and 546 yards against Washington. Jared Goff thrived under the change.

Stafford's milestone: Rams QB Matthew Stafford became the ninth player to throw 400 regular-season touchdowns and the first with four TDs and zero interceptions in three straight games.

Rookie feats: Jets' returners scored a 99-yard kickoff return and a 74-yard punt return in 36 seconds. Giants' Jaxson Dart set an NFL record with rushing touchdowns in five straight games before exiting with a concussion.

Bears' late heroics: Chicago's Caleb Williams led another fourth-quarter comeback, solidifying his status as the franchise's future face.
