Korda claims back-to-back LPGA Tour wins
World number one Nelly Korda secured her second consecutive LPGA Tour title in as many weeks, triumphing at the Riviera Maya Open in Mexico by a four-stroke margin.
Bogey-free streak ends on final hole
Korda, a three-time major champion and Olympic gold medalist, played 69 consecutive holes without a bogey before a costly six on the last hole of the tournament. The error came after she drove into bushes and then a bunker, preventing her from matching her five-shot victory at the Chevron Championship the previous week.
"Golf humbled me on the last hole, and I made my first bogey on the weekend," Korda said. "Overall, I'm so happy. I played some really good golf."
Final leaderboard highlights
Korda finished at 17 under par, four shots clear of Thailand's Arpichaya Yubol, who celebrated her 24th birthday with a closing 70 to take second place. China's Yu Liu (69) finished third, one shot behind Yubol.
Other notable performances included Colombia's Mariajo Uribe Marín (amateur) at eight under, and Spain's Carlota Ciganda and England's Jodi Ewart Shadoff, both at seven under.
