Meghan Markle films MasterChef appearance in Melbourne

The Duchess of Sussex participated in filming for the upcoming 18th season of MasterChef Australia on Wednesday, Network Ten confirmed. The episode featuring her as a guest judge is scheduled to air on 19 April.

Tour details: Charitable visits and paid engagements

Meghan and Prince Harry are midway through a four-day private visit to Australia, their first since 2018. The trip blends philanthropic activities with revenue-generating events, reflecting their status as non-working royals.

On Wednesday, Prince Harry engaged with an Australian Rules football team and toured the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. Meanwhile, Meghan served meals at a Melbourne women's shelter, dishing up frittata to residents.

High-profile speaking engagement and women's retreat

Prince Harry is set to deliver a keynote address at the InterEdge Psychosocial Safety Summit in Melbourne later this week. Tickets for the event range from A$1,000 ($713) to A$2,400 ($1,718), with proceeds benefiting the crisis support charity Lifeline. Organizers have not disclosed whether the Duke will receive a fee for his participation.

On Saturday, Meghan will host an "in-person conversation" at a women-only weekend retreat in Sydney. Attendees can purchase tickets up to A$3,199 ($2,290) for a VIP package, which includes a group photograph with the Duchess. The event has not sold out, with organizers still advertising a limited number of rooms.

Business ventures and media projects

Meghan's appearance on MasterChef Australia follows her recent lifestyle and cookery series, With Love, Meghan, where she shares hosting and culinary tips. Speculation suggests Australia may also serve as a launchpad for her As Ever lifestyle brand, which gained visibility through her Netflix documentary.

Last year, the brand registered trademarks across 12 product categories in Australia, according to official intellectual property records.

Public reception and hospital visit

On Tuesday, the couple visited Melbourne's Royal Children's Hospital, where hundreds of well-wishers gathered in the foyer to greet them. Their itinerary continues with further engagements in Melbourne on Thursday before they travel to Sydney.
