King Charles arrives in Bermuda solo after US tour
King Charles III landed in Hamilton, Bermuda's capital, on Friday following a four-day state visit to the United States. The monarch traveled without Queen Camilla, marking his first official trip to the island territory as sovereign.
Low-key arrival in Bermuda
The King made an understated entrance at LF Wade International Airport, where he was welcomed by British Governor Andrew Murdoch, Bermuda Premier David Burt, and other officials. Locals lined the streets, waving flags and cheering as the King and Queen enjoyed bluegrass music, clog dancing, and a classic car parade. The couple also participated in a walkabout, shaking hands with residents-a first for the trip-and contributed dishes to a potluck meal, including a Coronation quiche and honey from royal hives.
"It was full-on razzamatazz, with bunting, flags, and a parade of classic cars," a local organizer told reporters.

The Virginia stop followed days of high-stakes diplomacy in Washington, where the King addressed Congress to applause. The couple also paid respects at Arlington National Cemetery, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier before departing for Front Royal.
