Streamer detained in Fort Lauderdale on battery charges

Braden Eric Peters, known online as Clavicular, was taken into custody Thursday in connection with a physical altercation last month in central Florida, authorities confirmed.

Allegations of fight orchestration

Osceola County Sheriff's Office stated Peters is accused of provoking a confrontation between two women before posting footage of the incident on social media. The agency issued warrants for Peters on misdemeanor battery and criminal conspiracy to commit battery.

A 19-year-old woman reported being assaulted by Violet Marie Lentz, 24, on February 2 at a residence rented by Peters, who is 20. Deputies arrived at the property but neither Peters nor Lentz complied with requests to speak outside, according to officials.

Legal proceedings and release

Peters' bond was set at $1,000 (£754), and he was released from custody late Friday, booking records indicate. Authorities continue to search for Lentz, who faces a misdemeanor battery charge. The BBC has reached out to Peters for comment but has not received a response.

Broader controversies

Separately, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announced Thursday it is investigating a video depicting an alligator being repeatedly shot in the Everglades. The footage, reported by U.S. media, shows four individuals on an airboat, including Peters, firing at the animal. It remains unclear whether the investigation is directly linked to Peters, and the commission has not responded to requests for clarification.

Online persona and movement

Clavicular has gained notoriety as a key figure in the looksmaxxing movement, which advocates extreme measures to enhance physical appearance. His content documents practices such as steroid use, testosterone treatments, and even striking his face with a hammer to alter his features.

The subculture, once confined to fringe online spaces, has increasingly entered mainstream discourse, reflecting broader shifts in digital influencer trends.
