Landslide in West Java claims lives, dozens missing
At least seven people have died and over 80 remain unaccounted for after a devastating landslide struck Indonesia's West Java province early Saturday, authorities confirmed.
Disaster unfolds in West Bandung
The landslide struck the village of Pasirlangu at approximately 02:30 AM local time (19:30 GMT Friday), following days of relentless rainfall. The disaster mitigation agency reported that the slide buried residential areas, destroying more than 30 homes and trapping numerous residents.

Abdul Muhari, communication chief of Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency, stated that 24 individuals have been safely evacuated from the affected region. Search teams are continuing operations to locate the missing amid challenging conditions.
